Halcyon Zero Gravity Sidemount System
The Halcyon Zero Gravity Sidemount System is designed for divers using double aluminium 80’s with wetsuits or 12L steel cylinders with drysuits. Perfect for temperate waters, it’s also an exciting option for both recreational sidemount divers and experienced explorers seeking optimal buoyancy and comfort.
Key Features of the Zero Gravity Sidemount System:
- Ideal Buoyancy Distribution: The system places buoyancy over the hips and along the sides of the rib cage, where buoyancy is most beneficial. This placement provides a streamlined, flat profile for the diver.
- Streamlined Design: The U-shaped bladder reduces drag and profile, giving the diver an efficient and sleek experience in the water. The outer back is reinforced for durability and resistance to abrasion.
- Harness System: A multi-point adjustable harness, similar to the standard backplate harness, allows for enhanced comfort and freedom of movement. This design is particularly advantageous for female divers, ensuring a better fit and improved comfort.
- Compact and Travel-Friendly: The system is compact, making it easy to pack and travel with, alongside your other diving equipment.
Additional Features:
- Redesigned Cylinder Handles: New door handles provide a free-moving area for cylinder bolt snaps, preventing them from getting caught on corners during use.
- Dual Inflator Ports: Two inflator ports are located on the front, one on each side of the diver, providing flexible inflator placement on either the left or right-hand side.
- OPV Placement: The over-pressure valve (OPV) is positioned on the left back side for easy access and use while exhausting gas.
- Adjustable Bungees: The adjustable bungees accommodate different regulator configurations, whether the regulator is positioned upwards or downwards.
- Waist Strap D-Rings: D-rings on both the right and left hips allow for easy clipping of buoyant cylinders, like the Ali 80’s, when they begin to rise.
- Cylinder Bungees: Uniquely placed cylinder bungees run across the back of the system, providing additional stretch when wrapping the valves and ensuring cylinders stay high, tight, and secure.
Important Note:
The updated version of the Zero Gravity Sidemount System does not include breakpoints on the shoulder harness, as shown in the video demonstration below.
