The Halcyon Evolve Wing System with Standard Harness maintains a novel industry-first design. This unique circular wing provides unprecedented control, allowing divers to easily fine-tune their buoyancy, regardless of diving position.
This full twinset wing system comes with a single loop harness and backplate of your choice fully factory set up. You just need to do little fine tuning on the harness.
Halcyon Evolve Wing System with Standard Harness includes
- Halcyon Evolve Wing (40lbs or 60lbs)
- 22″ Inflator inflator hose
- Fully assembled Aluminum or Stainless Steel Backplate with standard harness
- Halcyon MC Storage Pack and bolts for backplate
Halcyon Evolve Wing
The Evolve’s circular design allows precise control of in-water buoyancy and trim. Horizontal trim is easily accomplished through the addition of a lift at the base of the wing. Gas trapping on one side or the other of the wing is virtually eliminated.
The Evolve wing for twinset diving integrates seamlessly with Halcyon’s existing line of MC systems and is available in two lift capacities: 40lbs and 60lbs. For most divers the Evolve 40lbs provides more than enough lift.
The Halcyon Evolve Wing matches the Halcyon Eclipse single cylinder wing for ease of use of the rear over-pressure valve for venting gas during the dive. Wreck divers and cavers will immediately appreciate Evolve’s ease of buoyancy adjustment.
It doesn’t matter if you are swimming or scootering; the Evolve’s profile cuts through the water with less drag and greater efficiency.
The Halcyon Evolve has been extensively tested in every possible condition, from the tropics to the Arctic, with aluminium and steel cylinders.
The Evolve builds upon Halcyon’s dedication to designing gear for the advanced diver. The Evolve’s development team focused on stability, buoyancy and trim control improvements.

Halcyon Harness
The Halcyon Secure Harness fitted to the Halcyon backplate allows for infinite adjustability, providing a perfect fit for all divers.
Men or women diving wet or dry will find the Secure Harness is, without question, the most stable and well-fitted design in the industry. The five-point system ensures a snug fit and eliminates tank roll and drift.

Halcyon MC Storage Pak
The Halcyon backplate pocket is the most efficient means to store any of the various Halcyon inflatable markers with ease.
Stowing your favorite lift device in a Halcyon Storage Pak provides a hassle-free storage place without compromising the ability for rapid deployment of a SMB or lift bag.
Halcyon Backplate
As with most Halcyon products, an immense amount of behind-the-scenes work is required to create a plate we proudly sell.
Halcyon backplates have been refined to provide the highest-quality finish and materials available. Small details, like the unique bends near the bottom of the plate, create an ergonomic curve, increasing diver comfort. Meanwhile, the precise fabrication process ensures the quality you have come to expect from Halcyon.
Specially designed for mating with all Halcyon and conventional wings, the Halcyon backplate is available in 3mm Stainless Steel and Aluminum. The utility holes allow easy mating with the MC Storage Pak to stow an SMB or to fit a drysuit inflation system.

What backplate to use?
While not set in stone, aluminium backplates are generally preferred by travelling or wet suit divers as they are lighter than their stainless steel counterparts.
The popular backplate for drysuit diving is stainless steel, where the additional weight is a benefit (spreading out the weight needed to compensate for buoyancy while taking it off the diver’s waist).
Both backplates are based on the same Halcyon design and are compatible with the Halcyon Cinch Adjustable Harness. Most UK divers who use drysuits prefer the steel backplate.
