The Halcyon Eclipse Single Tank Wing System is an all-in-one, customizable, and versatile BC system, designed for single-tank recreational diving. It features a fully integrated weight system and offers a “one-size-fits-all” design that is highly adjustable, making it ideal for various diving profiles and conditions.
Key Features:
- Customizable Design: Personalize the look of your system by choosing from various colors or patterns for the wing’s front, back, and gusset, as well as webbing and the Halcyon logo. Use the Custom Wing Configurator to design and preview your setup.
- Halcyon Eclipse Wing: A doughnut-shaped, back-mounted buoyancy compensator that promotes perfect horizontal trim underwater while minimizing in-water effort. The Eclipse Wing is available in 20, 30, and 40lbs lift capacities to accommodate different diver requirements.
- Lift Capacity: Choose between the 20, 30, or 40lbs wing depending on your diving setup. The 30lbs is suitable for lighter profile rigs like a single 12L steel cylinder, while the 40lbs provides extra lift for larger setups like a 15L cylinder or emergency assistance.
- Backplate & Harness: The system includes the Halcyon Secure Harness with a stainless steel or aluminium backplate. Both backplates are ergonomic and designed for maximum comfort and fit. The five-point harness system eliminates tank roll and drift.
- ACB Weight System: The Active Control Ballast (ACB) weight system allows quick-release weight storage, providing greater flexibility during dives. Each pocket can hold up to 5lbs/2.3kg of soft or hard weights.
- MC Storage Pak: A convenient pocket for storing lift devices like an SMB (Surface Marker Buoy), ensuring quick and easy deployment when needed.
- Durable Construction: The Eclipse Wing is built with 1680-denier ballistic nylon for durability, and the inner bladder is made of 400-denier nylon. The bladder has a lifetime warranty on RF welded seams.
- Stainless Steel Single Tank Adapter: Securely attaches the backplate and wing to your single cylinder. Optional weight integration is available for extra buoyancy compensation.
Customization Options:
- Tailor the look of your gear through Halcyon’s Custom Colour Evolve Wing System, allowing a completely personalized design.
Production Time: Custom-ordered systems are made to order, with an estimated production time of 7-9 weeks.
Whether you’re diving wet or dry, this system is designed for comfort, stability, and versatility, offering an easy transition from recreational to more technical setups in the future.

What is the difference between wing and BCD?
The low drag design of the wing spreads the air in a balanced way on the back of the diver, keeping the wing part of the compensator out of the way and offering unprecedented streamlining during a dive.
There are no air-inflated side panels or pockets as on traditional ‘jacket type’ BC’s, avoiding a “legs down” position often caused by air to the side and front of the diver.
There are no restrictions on the diver’s chest – making it extremely comfortable, with no chest compression, and also allowing one size to fit all with no hassle.
The advantages of a wing system over a “jacket type” BC are numerous. The Halcyon Eclipse Wing System depends on a one-piece webbing harness looped through a sturdy aluminium or stainless steel backplate that should last many lifetimes.
Once donned, a webbing crotch strap can be utilised to keep the whole system in place with minimum movement.
The continuous loop harness prevents the frustrating lack of control found with typical buoyancy compensators. Once adjusted to the size and fit of the suit, there is nothing that can break or come loose.
