The adjustable Halcyon Crotch Strap features stainless steel front and rear D-rings, along with D-ring retainers, and is designed to fit Halcyon backplates. It is also compatible with any backplate that has a 2-inch webbing slot for the crotch strap.
Considered a critical component of a well-balanced rig, the crotch strap ensures stability whether using a single tank or twin set. It runs from beneath the backplate, through the crotch, and up to the front waist harness, maintaining the rig’s balance and preventing shifting during the dive.
For drysuit divers, the crotch strap allows for the weight belt (if used) to be worn underneath, supporting a two-stage emergency release to prevent accidental weight loss or dropping.
